jingle bling part 2

Another variation of my Jingle bling reverse french nails from this previous post: click me! This time I used a rich teal color and gold + gold glitter. Here are the easy steps in getting your own jingle bling nails! (what I did and used)
1) paint a base clear coat ( I used Nicole- base coat)
2) once that dries, use either tape guides or scotch tape (ghetto, but it works!) cut in curved strips and place them at the desired area near cuticles like so:
3) then paint desired color ( I used love & beauty in teal) on rest of nails ( 2-3 coats)
4) Then once the nail polish is completely dry, carefully peel off the tape and you are left with the half moon shape! voila!

5) then, the hardest part, carefully paint in the half moon part with different desired color ( I used OPI- " I get a kick out of gold" and LA girl- gold glitter polish).
6) finish off with top coat and there you have it!

Enjoy!

i love you like a love song baby

Don't you love this song by Selena Gomez? Better known as Justin Beiber's gf. She's so cute and the song is catchy and fun~ So I dedicate this song to this birkin and my new red skinnies :) Since some of you asked, I bought these J brand jeans (pants? they are twill) online actually when the Barney's sale first started click here or you can also find them on the J brand website as well. I thought they were jeans when I ordered them but the twill actually is pretty comfortable and flattering. Since the pants are so beautiful and bright on their own, I paired it with a simple white T, black and white striped jacket and grey pumps. I'm partially in denial that finals are coming up, actually I have one tomorrow, and I continue to procrastinate by not studying and going to the mall almost everyday. hehe. I love going to the mall during the holidays, everything is so festive and pretty! Btw, changed my nail color again, Jingle Bling part 2~ What do you think? Happy Hump Day! And for those of you with finals coming up, good luck!

jingle bling

'Tis the season to be jolly, and have equally festive nails :)
I chose to do a reverse french in red and silver glitter for my colors. It reminds me of a Christmas stocking or an ornament. You can either use tape as a guide or free hand it with a super steady hand. I chose to use tape to create the half moon silver shape and color the rest red, but as you can see its not perfect. I can't wait to try other color combos. Have a super weekend!

bruised

I did my nails and the theme was: bruised + sparkle. Black, green, and blue. Just like how my knees and legs look most of the time. I'm so clumsy and bump into things, ALL the time. hehe. Starting from the left I wore My private jet by OPI, Love & beauty by forever 21 Teal blue with gold glitter on top, Teal blue, and call my cell by nicole by opi (nic's sticks)

DIY: hello kitty nails

I saw some pictures online of hello kitty nails and I got inspired to try and do some on my own since I'm a Hello Kitty Lover! I just used what I had on hand in my extensive nail polish collection and luckily I had all the colors I needed. After many toothpicks and chocolate breaks, I finally finished. It was a bit tricky and very time consuming, but it was fun and I'm kind of proud of them, although there are some bumpy parts and not all the eyeballs and nose are the same size.

Here's what I used:
1) Red Nail polish, I used Nic's Sticks by Nicole by OPI in "Date Night". Its a red color with glittery shine.
2) Black Nail Polish, I used a very dark navy blue which looks black thankfully, Nicole by OPI's "No Limits"
3) White Nail Polish, I used OPI's "Alpine Snow"
4) Yellow Nail Polish, I used OPI's "Need Sunglasses"
side note: don't you just love OPI/ Nicole's nail polish names? So cute.
5) Top Coat, I used Nicoles.
6) a lot of toothpicks, preferably ones with one blunt end.
7) Nail polish remover

BTW, please excuse my ugly, long weird fingers. And also the messy marks, I took these photos right after I finished them! :)
Step One: Paint all nails half white (french tip) Paint a little more than a classic french tip, as this will make it easier to paint on the bow and face. If you do not have a steady hand, don't worry, you can use a little brush and erase the excess white away with nail polish remover.
Step Two: With the red nail polish you can either brush or use a toothpick to dab on the bow in the bottom corner of each nail. I used both since it was harder to do on my right hand.
Step Three: With another toothpick, dot the eyes using the black (dark blue) nail polish. This part gets hard because its hard to make the eyes symmetrical.
Step Four: Using the blunt end of a toothpick, add on the nose with the yellow nail polish
Last Step: Whiskers~ Using the toothpick again, strip on the whiskers. Three on each side, then VOILA! Don't forget to add top coat!! I applied 3 coats to help ensure this lasts super long!!
Happy Hello Kitty Nail painting!!
XOXO
